Elizabeth “Betty” Lee Chastain, 82, McLouth, KS, died Friday August 3, 2012 in Kansas City, MO.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday August 7, 2012 at Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie, KS.

Betty was born on November 2, 1929 in Marceline, MO, the daughter of Verner Lee and Mary E. McMillian Twitchel. She was united in marriage to Don Chastain on September 23, 1954 in Kansas City, KS. He preceded her in death in 2008. She worked as a camera operator from 1967-1979 at Intercollegiant Press, Shawnee Mission.

Survivors include one son, Randy Earl Chastain, McLouth; one daughter, Kim Matthias, Atchison; two sisters, Lois Hulsey, Belton, MO and Wanda Owen; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
